THE STORY:
The famously perky Elle Woods, a fashion-savvy, UCLA sorority girl finds her life turned upside down when dumped by her boyfriend Warner. In an effort to prove to Warner that she is more than just some blonde sorority girl, she follows him to Harvard Law, where she struggles to fit in and do well. Ultimately, she defies expectations and manages to stay true to her delightfully pink personality.

PLEASE PREPARE THE FOLLOWING:

  • a 1-2 minute monologue, no more than a page in length (monologue does not need to be delivered from memory!).

  • a song that showcases your talent. We will have a Bluetooth speaker in the room so please bring your own electronic musical accompaniment on your phone or other device, or sing a cappella if you are comfortable doing so.

NOTES:
Skipping, cheer, or gymnastic skills would be an asset but are not a requirement.

Auditions are by appointment but plan to stay around for approximately 90 minutes to learn some choreography and be seen again by the director.

Book an audition time through the scheduling app by clicking here: https://calendly.com/stage43theatre/auditions-legally-blonde.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled audition time to fill in the audition application. If you find yourself unable to keep your booked audition time, please be respectful of others and release your scheduled time through the app.

When you arrive, please go to Room 3 (first door to the right in the lobby, next to the vending machines) and sign in by filling in an audition form. You will then be directed to the audition room at your assigned audition time. Return to Room 3 after auditioning for some work with the choreographer. Wear dance/character or comfortable shoes for choreography work.

Please bring an acting résumé and head shot if you have one or email it to us at info@stage43.org. Also, bring a list of dates that you are not available for rehearsals (these will be used to respect everyone’s time and schedule meaningful rehearsals).

This is a non-Equity production; everyone involved in this production does so on a voluntary basis.

Successful auditionees will be required to become members of Stage 43 Theatrical Society at the first rehearsal ($20.00 adult / $16 seniors annual membership fee).

Rehearsals take place on Monday and Wednesday evenings (7 pm to 9:30 pm) and on Sunday afternoons (1 pm to 5 pm) beginning October 15, 2025.

Stage 43 is an inclusive group. Everyone is welcome to audition for any role they see themselves in. Come out and play with us!
